These are a few of the men and women that went to work in Florida and were fatally injured never going home to their families at the end of their shift. We remember, honor and recognize these men and women for their dedication and hardwork. We would like to sincerely thank the families that shared their loved one's picture and their tragic loss with USMWF.
Timothy was killed on the job in July 2016 while working for Kinder Morgan of Fernandina Beach, Florida. He was killed when the cab of the loading crane he was in separated while he was completing electrical work causing him to fall 100ft to the ground.
USMWF is currently researching additional information regarding this incident.

Ossie was killed in October 2011 while working for Port Of Miami River Terminal, LLC. in Miami, Florida. He died when the platform he was standing on failed, he fell 18ft. and a container crushed him.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed a $14,700 penalty and three serious violations. In an informal settlement the penalty was reduced to $11,025.00 for one three serious violations. The company paid the fines and the case is closed.

This photo was sent in by his mother Willie N. Hyman--- Employed at the Port of Miami for 21 years killed when he was unloading a container on a ship called “The Spirit” when the container crushed him.
Dante was killed in February 2005 while working as a Police Officer in Orlando, Florida. He died in a car accident.
This is not in OSHA's jurisdiction.

Everyone seen the picture of him in his Police uniform but I wanted to show a different photo of him. I love you Dante and would do anything to have you back. Love Patricia. He died from a gunshot wound.

Christopher was killed in December 2014 while working for D.L.S. Prestressed Inc. in Sunrise, Florida. He died when he was crushed by a crane traveling over uneven terrain lost it's balance and toppled over.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed a $9,800.00 penalty for two serious violations. In an informal settlement the penalty was reduced to $5,880.00 for one serious violation and one other than serious violation. This case is closed.

Nick was killed on the job in December 2011 while working for Broadcast Services Tower and Antenna in Cape Coral, Florida. He was electrocuted performing maintenance on a when a tower.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed no fines or penalties. The Case is closed.

Mike was killed on the job in July 2014 while working for Design Landscaping Management in Winter Springs, Florida. He died three days after the riding lawnmower he
was driving flipped over in a pond and he became unconscious.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed a $14,700. 00 penalty for four serious and one other than serious violations. The company is contesting the fines and penalties. Inspection: 984845.015 - Design Landscaping Management, Inc.

----My father lost his life at work on July 6, 2014 when the Riding mower he was on overturned
into a pond. We don't know exactly what happened, (if he was pinned, if he passed out), but he suffered irreversible brain damage as a result of the drowning.
The accident took place on July 3, 2014 and we removed him from Life Support on July 6, 2014.
