Anonymous OSHA Reporting

I put a link up to My Safe Workplace last month however I felt this was an important enough find to tell you all about it. Most of what I am writing about will be found on their site but the awareness of their services are vital. You have no need to fear repercussion of employers and co-workers.

What can be reported?

1. Accounting/Financial Issues
2. Human Resource Issues
3. Privacy Issues
4. Ethics Violations\
5. Workplace Safety
6. Other

Who and how to make a report

Any one who has a concern about their workplace can report it to your workplace and/or The Labor Board/OSHA. You can report anytime day or night by calling 1.800.461.9330. or by going to Make a Report.

Before you make your report you will be asked to choose your level of anonymity from the following options:

1. Remain completely anonymous
You will not reveal your name or contact information to your organization or to MySafeWorkplace®. Your identity is completely protected on the incident report.

2. Remain anonymous toward organization
You are comfortable revealing your name and contact information to MySafeWorkplace®, but not to your organization. MySafeWorkplace® may contact you confidentially to gather additional information yet will not reveal your identity at any time to your organization.

3. Do not care about anonymity
You do not care about anonymity. You choose to reveal your name and identity to both your organization and to MySafeWorkplace®.

After submitting your report you will be asked to create a password, which is randomly generated. This password will allow you to check the report status and receive updates on your report.

This service is truly awesome; it really can’t get any easier than this. Kudos’ to Mary for finding My Safe Workplace and sharing it.
