One Death, Many Losses

I LOVE YOU!

I Said A Prayer For You Today

Author Unknown

I said a prayer for you today and

know God must have heard –

I felt the answer in my heart

although He spoke no word..

I didn’t ask for wealth or fame

I knew you wouldn’t mind.

I ask Him to send treasures

of a far more lasting kind..

I asked that He’d be near

you at the start of each new day.

To grant you health, blessings

and friends to share your way.

I ask for happiness for you

in all things great and small,

but it was for His loving care

I prayed for most of all.

To A Friend

Shawn you now live with the Angels.

You've left us with love and kindness.

By God's grace we will remember that,

and not let sorrow blind us.

All words come and go only memories stay.

To a friend hope to see you one day.

I love you very much Shawn.   I am sorry that you died.  I think about you all the time.  I know you miss me too.  Thank you for buying your tractor.  I love you.

Title & Author Unknown

God Looked around his garden,

and he found an empty place.

He then looked down upon this

earth, and saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you and

lifted you to rest;  God's garden

must be beautiful He only takes the

best.  He knew that you were

suffering, He knew that you were in

pain,  He knew that you would

never get well on this earth again, so

He closed your weary eyelids, and

whispered "Peace by thine."  It

broke our hearts to lose you, but

you did not go alone, for part of

us went with you, the day God

called you home.

Mom and Tommy picked this to

give out at Shawn's service.

Shawn Duane Boone

By Tammy Miser

They keep asking me how I am,

He was a great brother, uncle, son and man.

They continue telling me he’s in no pain,

But he’s still my little Shawn Duane.

They say if I need anything-just call,

I need my brother before I fall.

They pronounce he’s with the Angels and has God’s grace.

He should be with us that’s really his place!

They say he did not die alone, take comfort in that!

How can I, where is he at?

They say he was a good friend, always giving a hand.

I’m fearful where my heart might land.

They declare some good will  come, it’s fate,

a reason and  that’s the way it’s to be.

There is nothing momentous that I can see!

They utter remember the good times you had.

I miss him so very bad!

They state he's with you mind, soul and heart.

I can't bear being this far apart!

Victim remembered as likable, generous

The Journal Gazette

Shawn Boone loved his farmhouse in rural Wabash County, his English bulldog named Duchess and model trains.

He was also the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it, who would do anything to help you out, family members and friends said Thursday.

"He was an all-around nice guy," said brother-in-law Mark Miser, 38. "He'd give you anything, do anything for ya.' "

Boone, 33, died early Thursday in a Fort Wayne hospital from injuries caused by an explosion at a Huntington wheel manufacturer. He suffered burns over 90 percent of his body.

He had worked in maintenance at Hayes Lemmerz International Inc. since October 1999, officials said.

"He was always the type of guy if you were throwing something away, he would take it and fix it," Miser said.

Boone wasn't married, but he had become like a "second dad" to his two nieces and his nephew, Miser said.

He was also working with his best friend, Dave Rockenbaugh, 35, to build a Christmas present for Rockenbaugh's son.

Rockenbaugh said Boone was finishing a degree from Ivy Tech State College in Fort Wayne and enjoyed his work at Hayes Lemmerz and didn't worry about it being dangerous.

Rockenbaugh and Miser will miss Boone terribly, they said, and they are sure those he worked with at the factory will also.

"I think everybody at the factory (liked) Shawn," Miser said. He got along with everybody."
