USMWF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to restoring and
revitalizing the quality of life for workers, their families and communities
by promoting family involvement, transparency and fairness in the investigative
systems, improving workplace protections and the workers compensation system
and giving workplace fatalities a face. To insure our these needs are met USMWF
offers support, guidance and resources for family, friends and co-workers of
individuals who died from a work-related causes, and provides leadership and
research to mobilize efforts toward the realization of the promise of safe and
healthy workplaces for all.

our family members come home at night!
Non Profit grant Writing and/or fundraising volunteers
USMWF is looking for volunteers to help our organization develop ways to
raise money through grant writing, fundraising, and innovative thinking. The
purpose of our development program is to seek funding from qualified grant-
making organizations to help support our mission. Our ultimate goal is to
instate 3 more full time positions and keep the two we already have. All work
can be completed virtually, communicating via email and telephone.
We always welcome anyone willing to help with our efforts. We have biweekly calls
made up of injured workers and families who have had a loss in the workplace.
We cover everything from up coming events, document reviews, support and a
myriad of other issues we encounter.
An ideal volunteer would be interested in working on specific projects from
time-to-time on an as needed basis but we welcome anyone willing to work on a
one time basis. Before you choose to volunteer please look at our modest
Volunteer Code of Conduct.

Help with a much needed cause, let others know about your organization
and how you helped support their needs and get a tax break.
One of the most important factors after this type of death is
acknowledgment. So often families are left without any recognition
from government agencies, employment facilities, and even family and
friends. We offer these families acknowledgment, tools to cope, tools to
get involved and someone to speak to if needed.
