ARKANSAS' FALLEN WORKERS
These are a few of the men and women that went to work in Arkansas and were fatally injured never going home to their families at the end of their shift. We remember, honor and recognize these men and women for their dedication and hardwork. We would like to sincerely thank the families that shared their loved one's picture and their tragic loss with USMWF.

Jeremy Foster, 19Jeremy was killed on the job in 2004 while working for Deltic Timber in Ola, Arkansas. He was died when he was pulled into an auger.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed a $4,500.00 penalty for one serious violation. In an informal settlement it was reduced to $2,250.00 for one serious violation. This inspection is closed. Inspection: 307893347 - Deltic Timber Corporation ---To see more about Jeremy. |

Monique Harper, 41Monique was killed on the job inAugust 2010 while working for Producers Rice Mill in Stuttgart, Arkansas. She was killed when engulfed by rice.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and assessed a $6,300 penalty for one serious violation. The penalty was not reduced. Inspection: 314737073 - Producers Rice Mill, Inc. ---- Monique was found buried in a rice storage facility on Tuesday. The Stuttgart Fire Department received the call about 5:30 a.m. When fire crews arrived on the scene, co-workers were attempting to dig the trapped employee out. Fire crews eventually located Harper. Paramedics tried to revive Harper, but she was pronounced dead at a local medical facility at 6:28 a.m. According to a police report Harper's co-workers became concerned about her whereabouts when they were unable to contact her by radio. Coley Gene Lee, 24
Coley was killed in May 2012 while working for Long Brothers Oil Company in El Dorado, Arkansas. Coley was killed when he was disassembling an old oil tank. The fumes ignited causing and explosion. Mercil "Shane" Chelette, 38 and Lee Randal Ross, 24 were also killed in the explosion.

Michael McKee, 27
Michael was killed in December 2016 while working for a Temp Agency at Texamerican Food Blending, Inc. in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He died was inside of a mixer when the emergency stop button was energized trapping him inside the mixer causing trauma to his chest.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed a $185,055.00 penalties for four serious, two willful and one other violations. This case is currently open as of 9/19/2018. Inspection: 1199915.015 - Texamerican Food Blending, Inc. |
