USMWF is working hard to connect with families affected by work incidents, illnesses and diseases from across the United States to give them the platform to share their loved one's incident, illness or disease and how their life has forever been affected by their tragic, unexpected loss.
Our efforts with the help of our amazing family members continue as we want to be the next conversation at the dinner table. We want to gain the connection between you and each podcast you hear, whether that be an age, relation, job/industry you work in or even just the personality of the fallen worker and the impact he/she had on their community and family. Each of our fallen workers had a family, had a life and they went to work expecting to come home at the end of their shift....and these are their stories and how those left behind deal with the overpowering devastation and emotions of grief. We want to thank each of our family members for stepping out, opening their hearts to share their loved one's incident, illness or disease and how their life has forever been affected as they are they key to prevention and we thank you so very much for your time and dedication to make sure all workers at the end of their shift get to go home to their families. We are a community of dedicated family member victims, a nationally recognized non-profit leader driving the transformation of the work environment to safe and healthy conditions for all employers and employees – both today and tomorrow.
We believe we are the missing step to preventing work related incidents, illnesses and diseases through the voices of our family member victims sharing their loss and how it has forever impacted their life. Presenting at safety conference(s), with employers virtually/in person & through our podcast/blogs & USMWF’s Family Booklet their loved one’s incident & the overwhelming mental, physical pain & suffering as well as the financial burden it has on those that are left behind. These are lessons learned putting the, “it can happen to you” aspect into our testimonies.
