These are a few of the men and women that went to work in Kansas and were fatally injured never going home to their families at the end of their shift. We remember, honor and recognize these men and women for their dedication and hardwork. Sammy Barnett, 42
Sammy "Iron Man Sam" was killed on the job in December 2017 while working for Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, Kansas. He was killed after a load became dislodged, pinning him between the load and a steel table.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed a $51,736 penalty for four serious violation. In a informal conference they proposed a $38,802 penalty for three serious violation. This inspection is closed. Inspection: 1275664.015 - Spirit Aerosystems, Inc. |

Jeff Burnham, 40Jeff was killed on the job in August 2011 while working for Global Propane Energy in Wichita, Kansas. He was killed after receiving severe burns in an explosion.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed a $4,200.00 penalty for one serious violation. In a informal conference they proposed a $3,150.00 penalty for one serious violation. This inspection is closed. Inspection: 315089698 - Global Energy Of Wichita, Llc |

Joshua Matthew Loux, 41
Joshua was killed in May 2014 while working for Restoration & Waterproofing Contractors in Wichita, Kansas. He died when he was ordered on a "for freight only elevator" and his head was caught between the elevator and cement abutment from the floor above.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed a $7,000.00 penalty for one serious violation. In an informal settlement the penalty was reduced to $7,000.00 for one other than serious violation. Inspection: 978846.015 - Restoration & Waterproofing Contractors Inc. |

Jerry Milligan, 48
Jerry was killed on the job in August, 2011 while working for Sprint AeroSystems in Wichita, Kansas. Jerry died after he fell 13 feet and suffered traumatic head injuries.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed a $7,000 penalty for one serious violation. The fines and penalties were not reduced. This case is closed. Inspection: 315090258 - Sprint Aerosystems, Inc. |

Colton Schoenrock, 23
Colton was killed in August 2013 after working for the Betchel in Topeka, Kansas. He worked on Thursday, August 22 at 7am-2pm and was to report back at 10pm later that night. Colton then worked at 10pm August 22 until 1pm August 23. He started his two hour drive home to Fairbury, NE. Sadly, Colton fell asleep driving home, he only made it half way.

Kyl Scieszinski, 28
Kyl was killed on the job in March 2006 while working for Interstate Tower Inc. (Howarden, Iowa) in Gladstone, Kansas. He was killed after he fell 150 feet from a tower.
IOSH investigated the incident and proposed a $0.00 penalties and 0 violations. The case is closed. Inspection: 309704013 - Interstate Tower Inc. Kyl Scieszinski of Knoxville, TN died this afternoon passed away after he fell 150 feet from a communication tower in Gladstone, KS. Kyl fell approximately 150' while working for Interstate Tower Inc. of Hawarden, Iowa. He learned many valuable trades but Kyl loved cell tower working. After the Navy he started working for US cellular and from there he worked many different cell tower companies. |
