USMWF strives to offer support, guidance and resources to those affected by work-related injuries, illnesses or diseases. Dedicated to sharing lessons learned that leads a movement of change in promoting actions for safe and healthy working conditions. Through the collective voice of families of fallen workers and other activists, we strive for the elimination and controls of workplace hazards– therefore preventing future tragedies.
In 2022 during our National Virtual Workers Memorial Day Ceremony, USMWF began our tradition to recognize those that step out of their comfort zone and work hard, sharing their loss, the impact it has had on them and the importance of workplace safety and change to ultimately prevent others from enduring such a loss.
We will continue our tradition at our upcoming 2023 ceremony and have open our nominations to the public. Now, through March 1, 2023 we invite you to nominate someone you feel that has truly become the voice of not only their loved one but all fallen workers.
