TENNESSEE'S FALLEN WORKERS
These are a few of the men and women that went to work in Tennessee and were fatally injured never going home to their families at the end of their shift. We remember, honor and recognize these men and women for their dedication and hard-work. We would like to sincerely thank the families that shared their loved one's picture and their tragic loss with USMWF.

Paul E. Cash, 47
Paul was killed on the job in 2018 while working for Lighting Resources Llc in Johnson City, TN. He was killed while trying to extinguish a fire in a bin that contained recyclable aluminum when it exploded.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed a $44,250 penalty for 11 serious violations. This inspection is closed. Inspection: 1301866.015 - Lighting Resources Llc Paul was taken from us by an explosion at Lighting Resources. His presence is deeply missed by all of us. There's not a day that goes by that he is not missed. A piece of our hearts will always be with him. His siblings are the forgotten mourners that deal with grieving him daily. We never got to say goodbye. Until we meet again, We LOVE you and MISS you Paul. You will never be forgotten. |

Jared Lee Helton, 22Jared was killed on the job in November 2019 while employed with A&A Safety working for Tennessee Department of Transportation in Memphis, TN. He and co-worker were struck by a tractor/trailer truck that was hauling freight, at which time it crashed into their mobile truck and the construction zone fatally injuring Jared and his co-worker.
Inspection: 1443159.015 - A & A Safety, Inc. TNOSHA investigated the incident. No citations were assessed. Jared was a beloved son, a brother to Bradley and CasSandra a Uncle to Aria and Elli. He has so many wonderful friends that truly loved him. Jared’s nickname was "Smiley" because he was always smiling. Jared was always happy and had a wonderful laugh. After meeting Jared you had a special friend for life. We will truly miss him and our hearts are forever broken. Such a short life but a big legacy he has left behind. His family created the Jared Lee Helton Good Character Memorial Scholarship program on his behalf. This way Jared is still helping others pursue their goal as he was working on his. |

Stanley Hubbard, 46Stanley was fatally injured on the job in July 2015 while working Walker Die Casting Inc. in Lewisburg, Tennessee after the safety malfunctioned on a pressurized blow hose, striking him, causing multiple blunt trauma injuries to his head, neck and chest.

Brian Steven Isdell, 55Brian was killed on the job in August 2009 while working for Nelson Trucking in Mountain City, Tennessee. He was attacked by teens which caused a heart attack.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed a $280.00 penalty for one other than serious violation. The penalty was not reduced. ----Brian was killed while long haul trucking and was pulled over in a parking lot when he was attacked by two teens and had a heart attack; he worked for Nelson Trucking Company, Mountain City, TN. He died from a heart attack following a violent attack by criminals. Truck driver’s brother speaks out. |

J.P. Shelley, 42J.P. was killed in October 2013 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was shot and robbed by 3 juvenile gang members working as a self-employed contractor at a residential property.

Cody Ryan Thorp, 24
Cody was killed in June 2015 while working at ThorSports Farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He died after he was pinned beneath a Polaris ATV.
Federal OSHA investigated the incident and proposed a $4,000.00 penalty for one serious violation. The penalty or violation was not reduced. Inspection: 1067410.015 - Thorsport Inc |
